The PVS-31 is the binocular unit that we offer, here, in Europe. It is designed for maximum situational awareness in the most demanding environments, being ideal for night-time driving, sky-diving and CQB (Close Quarters Battle). Being heavier than the PVS-14, the added weight comes with dual-eye comfort, being the go-to choice for military and law enforcement units.

Figure of Merit (FOM) is a standardized metric used to evaluate the performance of night vision image intensifier tubes. It is calculated by multiplying the tube's resolution by its signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

FOM 1400-1600
The basic product of the series, can come with or without auto-gating. Both variants have ABC (Automatic Brightness Control) It can provide decent image resolution (64lp/mm) and signal-to-noise ratio (starting from 22) with FOM starting from 1400 to 1600.

FOM 1600-1800
The upgraded product of the series, its FOM starting from 1600 up to 1800, using auto-gated power supply technology, with a wider dynamic range, can adapt to a variety of complex environment, in the case of changing external lighting conditions, to provide users with a more comfortable observation experience. The resolution starts from 64 lp/mm and the SNR starts from 25. As an example, some variants can have res 64 lp/mm and SNR 28.

FOM 1800-2000
The flagship product of the series, which adopts optical reflection reduction technology, with photocathode sensitivity of over 1000 μA/m and FOM from 1800 up to 2200, and features such as near-infrared enhancement and small halo to meet the needs of users in identifying targets under different environmental conditions. For this class, the SNR starts from 30 and the resolution from 64 lp/mm. It also presents super-fast autogating, compared to the other models.

The products we sell are categorized as Gen 2+ according to the standard generation classification. However, the generation classification system is outdated. The SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio), resolution, EBI (Equivalent Background Illumination), photocathode sensitivity, and gain are very important to consider when buying a product.

In addition to our high-quality Gen 2+ tubes from manufacturers such as NNVT, we also provide Gen 3 intensifiers for customers seeking superior resolution, and better low-light performance.
