What is FOM (Figure of Merit)?
FOM, or Figure of Merit, is a key performance indicator used to evaluate the quality of an image intensifier tube in night vision devices. It is calculated by multiplying the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) by the resolution (measured in line pairs per millimeter – lp/mm).
FOM 1400–1600
The base model of the series, offering an image resolution of 60 lp/mm and a signal-to-noise ratio with a FOM of 1400 or higher, providing superior image quality in low-light conditions.
FOM 1600–1800
The improved model of the series, with a FOM above 1600, features auto-gated power supply technology and a wider dynamic range. It can adapt to a variety of complex environments, offering users a more comfortable observation experience in changing outdoor lighting conditions.
FOM 1800–2000
The top-tier model of the series, which adopts optical reflection reduction technology, features a photocathode sensitivity of over 1000 μA/lm and a FOM of up to 2200. It also includes characteristics such as high IR spectrum sensitivity and low halo, making it suitable for various lighting conditions. Additionally, the tube is equipped with fast autogating.
The kit includes: dovetail mount, dovetail J-arm, skull crusher and a hardcase.
